Onward to week 2!

Happy Sunday! I have had a good day. Last week I when I signed off, I was still in Pinetop with a sick husband and a huge decision! I caught my husbands cold this week and it attacked me in a different way than it did him. It started in my chest! I have spent the week battling this cold. It didn’t stop me from going through with my decision to start the program I invested in. I was so excited to get started and then my coach told me to wait until I was well in order to start the cleanse part of the program. I understand why, it’s a metabolic cleanse and taking cold meds, ibuprofen and whatnot will not be beneficial to the process.

It’s amazing what happens when you make a decision to do something whole-hearted. A certain persistence comes over you and “it is.” There is no questioning, there is no second guessing and there is certainly no turning back. A decision is required to “stick to” something like this. This way of life that I strive for is exactly that, a way of life. Life, meaning “the rest of my life.” I will live a long life because of this decision. I will live a happy, healthy and strong life because of this decision.

Some of the changes that I have noticed since starting this program are pretty amazing. Despite being sick, sick, sick, I have still dropped 3 pounds since starting on Wednesday of last week. I have not been hungry at all! I have not experienced any PMS symptoms at all and no heart palpitations from peri-menopause. My sleep is sound, and refreshing. I have energy in the morning, despite being sick.

I have been drinking two meal replacement shakes everyday along with 3 snacks and a 400-600 calorie dinner comprising of a balanced meal. I do not feel deprived at all, and the sweets are NOT taunting me! In fact, I have no desire for them. I might as well go ahead and tell you what I am doing.

I have hopped on the bus and chose to go with Isagenix to help me. I have a great coach and I am planning on asking her to be a guest blogger next month. I am still up in the air about the 16 week challenge at this point, but I might as well go ahead and sign up for it. I am going to post my before and after pics. Not a happy camper about those before pics! I am excited to get well so that I can do the cleanse days. I feel pretty good so far, despite being ill and dumping a ton of cold meds into my body.

I have 5 days down on this 30 day “kick start” to a better way of living. I feel like it’s going to be a breeze. The shakes are really GOOD, and filling. My favorite is the strawberry one. I haven’t tried the chocolate yet. When I started I had to measure my body, weigh myself and take pics. That was NOT a pleasant part of this task. It’s the dark ugly truth of what overeating and sugar have done to me by indulging more than I should. I have never weighed this much in my life, and I am looking forward to watching the transformation take place.

I wasn’t able to get to the gym this week because of the “bug” I have, however, the main thing that drew me to Isagenix was the program’s ability to help you build muscle. I just turned 47 years old and muscle loss has occurred with this last year of indulgence. I think the hardest part for me will be the slow reward! It’s taken a few years to get where I am right now. I had a speaking engagement in San Diego recently and saw pictures of myself. It was hard to believe that was me! I am apprehensive about posting the pics of myself, but I think it will hold me to the fire.  So, here is the ugly truth of what overeating and indulging in sugary goodness does to you over time.

I am so ready for a change, and I am very excited about the possibility that Isagenix gives me! Good nutrition is vital for good health. I was just incapable of sticking with a consistent way of life. I feel like this can work for me, and I know the pics will show the results. Let the record show that I weighed 163.6 pounds in the pictures above.

I really appreciate you being a part of my journey, I am excited to show you the 30 day pictures! I get to go back to the gym this week and really start seeing some results! I will be checking in every Sunday and I look forward to hearing from you all!

Tell me some things that you have tried that are successful!
